Seasonal Threats

And how to keep them at bay with doTERRA Essential Oils

With the arrival of spring, many of us are suffering with the seasonal threats of pollen, grass, flowers and weed pollen too. If you are not familiar with seasonal threats, be thankful!! They can be quite frustrating. Seasonal threats are an abnormal immune response against an invader, which includes the trees, grass, flower and weed pollen. Even though the threat is fairly harmless, the actual reaction some of us have to the threat, can wreak havoc on our respiratory systems.

Seasonal threats usually start around March or April, with the onset of Spring, and continue through May, as trees continue to create pollen, right along with the grass pollen as the grass grows, and even through the end of June. And if you live in places where there has been snow, then you are possibly even looking at mold spores starting to spread, with the melting of the snow, and mold is a terrible threat to the respiratory system.

Symptoms you are suffering from Seasonal Threats

Seasonal threats are going to be different for everyone, just as some of us may suffer different threats from certain foods. In general the signs of seasonal allergies hitting us in the spring and summer are as follows:

  • Nasal discomfort
  • Nasal dripping
  • Sneezing
  • Coughing
  • Watering or Itchy eyes
  • Sniffling
  • Stuffy nose
  • head tension

The discomfort of these seasonal threats can be miserable. You can feel like your head is about to explode. You may be walking around with tissues in your pockets, blowing your nose constantly, wiping your watery eyes, and you may even be embarrassed that others around you will think you are ill or feeling under the weather because of these seasonal threats.

But have no fear, my friend, because I am here to offer you several amazing suggestions for helping you combat seasonal threats, by using doTERRA Essential Oils. Especially three specific oils. Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint oils.

You may be wondering how using these 3 simple essential oils can help combat your seasonal threats, and I am here to tell you that these oils may quickly become your best friends during spring and summer.

Lavender works as a natural antihistamine. Lavender has strong anti-inflammatory properties as well, so the aromatherapy use of Lavender can certainly help to provide relief for seasonal threats, especially when combined with Peppermint and Lemon.

Peppermint oil is often known for its soothing qualities and its ability to assist with discomfort, but it is even more known for its ability to support your respiratory system through helping to open your airways and improve breathing during times you are experiencing frustrating seasonal threats.

Lemon oil is high in anti-inflammatory properties, and is incredibly helpful to reduce inflammation in the respiratory system when you are suffering from seasonal threats. You can mix these 3 essential oils, along with Fractionated Coconut oil, in a 10ml roller bottle, and apply them down your spine, all around your neck, and onto your wrists, in order to receive all of the aromatherapy throughout the entire day. You could also mix the 3 oils in a glass spray bottle, add distilled water, and spray the mixture on your clothes, couches, curtains, sheets, etc, to receive all the antihistamine benefits all throughout your home during pollen time, and you can do it without any of the side effects that many other antihistamines have. Nothing but natural, certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils. doTERRA Essential oils are such an effective, easy and safe way to reduce symptoms of seasonal threats, to get relief and to support your respiratory system and your health in a long term manner, so I suggest you give the following recipe a try!

In a small glass of water, add 1 drop of Lavender oil, Lemon oil and Peppermint oil. Drink your entire glass of water at once. Since oils don't always mix well with water, you can certainly stir your water up a little, or even add a pinch of salt to your water to help with the mixing of the oils and water. You can use your oils without worrying about feeling drowsy or feeling all amped up, like most other antihistamines make you feel.

TriEase Seasonal Blend Softgels

Seeing as how many people don't have time to stop throughout the day and take their drops of oils, doTERRA made it quite easy for those of us that suffer from seasonal threats, and they combined the Lavender, Peppermint and Lemon in a softgel for our easy use! TriEase Softgels were developed to help protect against the seasonal and environmental elements, and to support our healthy respiratory system when we need it most. Each softgel contains equal parts of the Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint essential oils, in order to help maintain the clear breathing and the healthy immune response when they are all combined together.
